Acceptable Use Policy
Momo expects every user to create and distribute video lawfully, responsibly, and with respect for the people represented in it.
1. Scope and responsibility
This policy applies to all use of Momo, including APIs, integrations, generated media, hosted output, and shared links. You are responsible for people using Momo through your account and for reviewing output before publication.
2. Prohibited illegal and harmful activity
Do not use Momo to create, facilitate, promote, or distribute:
- Illegal content or conduct, including material that exploits or endangers children
- Credible threats, targeted harassment, hateful abuse, defamation, or privacy violations
- Instructions or material intended to cause physical harm or facilitate serious wrongdoing
- Malware, credential theft, phishing, spam, fraud, scams, or deceptive commercial practices
- Content that infringes intellectual property, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights
3. Deception, voice, and likeness
Do not impersonate a person or organization, create non-consensual intimate or synthetic media, misrepresent a person’s statements, or use a voice or likeness without required rights and consent. Disclose synthetic or materially altered media when law, context, or reasonable viewer expectations require it. Do not remove provenance information to deceive viewers.
4. High-impact and regulated uses
Do not use Momo as the sole basis for decisions about employment, housing, credit, insurance, education admission, healthcare, legal rights, or access to essential services. Qualified human review, appropriate testing, disclosures, and all legally required safeguards are required for regulated or safety-sensitive use.
5. Service integrity
Do not bypass access controls, usage limits, or safety measures; probe or scan systems without authorization; disrupt the service; scrape Momo in violation of applicable restrictions; introduce malicious code; access another user’s information; or misrepresent traffic, identity, or payment information.
6. Enforcement and appeals
We may investigate, remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, preserve evidence, or cooperate with lawful authorities when we reasonably believe this policy has been violated. We consider context, severity, history, and risk. To report suspected abuse or appeal an enforcement decision, use the corresponding category on our contact page and provide enough non-sensitive information for review.
